Let’s say right away and clearly that the perfect supermarket does not exist. Don’t be disheartened if your choice is unsatisfactory, our neighborhoods are only filled with banks and supermarkets now. In the future, neighborhoods will be built within shopping centers and flyer companies will fill mailboxes, at the very least daily, and in any case, with greater frequency than at present.

I write this considering myself on the side of the consumer: a supermarket must be understood in its primary essence. What does that mean? I mean that the supermarket is designed so that everything can be found in one place and there is no need to go elsewhere. Experience, on the other hand, tells me that one store is preferable for fish, another is to be chosen for meat, just to give an example. In this regard, it would be preferable to choose those stores with a served counter, as well as a packaged section.

However, the thing to absolutely avoid is: going to the supermarket without having clear ideas, even more serious, without having ideas. A banal shopping list is useful to avoid falling into the temptation of buying everything you don’t need. The legendary phrase I take a trip to the supermarket is fine if it’s just a trip, often, however, you come back loaded. However it goes, it is to consider that in our cart, something more than what we had decided, always slips: or almost.
One thing to take note of is that you can’t compete with the supermarket of a large commercial chain. You can win once (usually it’s the last time since they make you pass), but every other time, you succumb. That’s because a store is designed by people who have studied marketing and the environment, the layout of a place, and the psychology of buying. And soon, in fact, right now, they’re studying you and your habits, too.

Tricks, gimmicks: shall we talk about music? In that spell of sights and smells and colors, in which serene atmospheres seem to soothe your pains, if your favorite song comes on, give up: you’ve already lost. There are all the conditions because, in a few moments, the volume of goods in your trolley will exceed the limit you had set for yourself.
